A ‘cruisey’ surfboard originally designed for summer time mush, basically a longboard with the middle cut out. It has a fuller nose that the Mini Mal. Bare that in mind, this shape is impressive in clean, head high surf when surfed smooth rail to rail (see picture below) as well as the smaller weaker waves we often get. The wide template gives awesome paddle speed and early entry into waves with good initial stability. Under the full nose is a single concave to aid plaining through flat sections and to warrant a sneaky hang 5 should the surfer feel the need. The increased ‘V’ in the tail stops this short and wide board from surfing too flat and gives swift transitions from rail to rail. 2 + 1 fin set up, so great as a single fin or tri fin set up.
